World Vision Taiwan was founded in 1964 and the CEO, Andrew Wang said he is grateful to the people of Taiwan who have been with them for the last 56 years. This year 30 Hour Famine Taiwan hopes to raise $0.25 billion NTD (USD$8.5 million) to enable them to provide assistance to those who are in need. Another project of World Vision Taiwan is Child Sponsorship Program, according to the Regional Manager of Africa & Latin America and Caribbean of World Vision Taiwan, Shine Liu, is a long term development program which they ask donors to sponsor a child for 10-15 years (from childhood to adolescence). World Vision Taiwan works with local partners including the local government to provide better environment for children to grow.
