The Sinless One pities the weakness of the sinner... Men hate the sinner, while they love the sin. Christ hates the sin, but loves the sinner. This will be the spirit of all who seek to find and follow after God.
The idea if Christian character is Christlikeness. As the Son of man was perfect in His life, so His followers are to be perfect in their life.... He bids us by faith in Him attain to the glory of the character of God. Claim the promise of Jude vs 24 today!
The love of God is beyond that which any language can describe. None can fully comprehend the length, breadth, depth or the height of the love of God in giving His Son to die for the world. Eternity itself can never fully reveal it. Yet as we study the bible and meditate upon the life of Christ and the plan of redemption, these great themes will open to our understanding more and more.
God is a God of truth. Justice and mercy are the attributes of His throne. He is a God of love, of pity and tender compassion. He is a God of patience and long suffering. If such is the Being whom we adore and to whose character we are seeking to assimilate, we are worshiping the true God.
The greatest victories to the church of Christ or to the individual Christian, are not those that are gained by talent or education, by wealth, or the favor of men. They are those victories that are gained in the audience chamber with God.
The soul that turns to God for it's help, it's support, it's power, by daily earnest prayer, will have noble aspirations, clear perceptions of truth and duty, lofty purposes of action, and a continual hungering and thirsting after righteousness. - Ellen White
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you - John 15:7

You are of the highest value because God knit you together in your mother's womb himself. Do not allow anyone make you feel less deserving of love and respect.
Do not place too low an estimate upon your ability to be the best in your calling of practical life. When you are made aware of deficiencies, go to work at once to remedy those defects.
We rush levels. We make ourselves too cheap. We do not celebrate what God is doing in our lives. All because of inferiority complex.
The man who is praised for his abilities learns to rely on his own capabilities, and does not feel his need of help from above.
Flattery, however well intentioned, would always build pride in the one to whom is acknowledged and envy on the one who is not.
Only by living for God will you ever find purpose and meaning. True greatness is found in submitting to the will of the Father.
Do not shrink yourself to the level of your situation. The way you see yourself is so important that it can create a reality that is contradictory to your true identity
True greatness is a paradox. To be great is to recognize how worthless you are without Christ

God wins - 2 Corinthians 5:16-18 ; So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.
In the spirit of Babylon - Daniel 5:22. "But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.

If, as recent research has shown, clothes and appearance are most powerful nonverbal communicators not only of our socioeconomic status but also of our moral values, as Christians we should ponder: How can we best show our Christian values to others through outward appearance? What principles of dress and adornment should we follow to ensure that our outward appearance will give a visible and silent testimony of our relationship with Christ? WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
In a marvelous manner God wrought in behalf of His penitent people; and a counter-decree issued by the king, allowing them to fight for their lives, was rapidly communicated to every part of the realm by mounted couriers who were “hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment.” “And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. Esther 8:1,2 - On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her. And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
Esther 7:3,4 - Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request: For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Lesson: Many profess to be on the Lord's side, but they are not; the weight of all their actions is on Satan's side. By what means shall we determine whose side we are on? Who has the heart? With whom are our thoughts? Upon whom do we love to converse? Who has our warmest affections and our best energies? If we are on the Lord's side, our thoughts are with Him, and our sweetest thoughts are of Him. We have no friendship with the world; we have consecrated all that we have and are to Him. We long to bear His image, breathe His Spirit, do His will, and please Him in all things. CCh 185.2

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Lesson: A well-ordered Christian household is a powerful argument in favor of the reality of the Christian religion—an argument that the infidel cannot gainsay. All can see that there is an influence at work in the family that affects the children, and that the God of Abraham is with them.—Patriarchs and Prophets, 144. MYP 325.3

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
Lesson: The cultivation of a uniform courtesy, a willingness to do to others as we would wish them to do to us, would annihilate half the ills of life. The spirit of self-aggrandizement is the spirit of Satan; but the heart in which the love of Christ is cherished, will possess that charity which seeketh not her own. Such will heed the divine injunction, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Philippians 2:4. PP 132.3

DAY 3:

Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.
Lesson: If you see your sinfulness, do not wait to make yourself better. How many there are who think they are not good enough to come to Christ. Do you expect to become better through your own efforts? “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.” Jeremiah 13:23. There is help for us only in God. We must not wait for stronger persuasions, for better opportunities, or for holier tempers. We can do nothing of ourselves. We must come to Christ just as we are. SC 31.1

DAY 2:

And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
Lesson: God permits trials to assail His people, that by their constancy and obedience they themselves may be spiritually enriched, and that their example may be a source of strength to others. “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.” Jeremiah 29:11. The very trials that task our faith most severely and make it seem that God has forsaken us, are to lead us closer to Christ, that we may lay all our burdens at His feet and experience the peace which He will give us in exchange. PP 129.2
THE FOOTPRINTS OF ABRAHAM
DAY 1:
Key Text Gen. 12:1-3
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed
Lesson: In order that the work may go forward in all its branches, God calls for youthful vigor, zeal, and courage. He has chosen the youth to aid in the advancement of His cause. To plan with clear mind and execute with courageous hand demands fresh, uncrippled energies. Young men and women are invited to give God the strength of their youth, that through the exercise of their powers, through keen thought and vigorous action, they may bring glory to Him and salvation to their fellow-men. (Gospel Workers, 67.) MYP 20.1
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth. - Acts 13:47 No sooner is one converted than there is born within him a desire to make known to others what a precious friend he has found in Jesus. The saving and sanctifying truth cannot be shut up in his heart. - The Desire of Ages, p. 141
When we know something to be the truth, we should not allow other people to change our minds. At times, the truth may sound impossible but that does not take away from its truthfulness. Jesus told us that He is the truth; therefore, we know our faith is real. Some may mock us for it or call us crazy, but their criticism should not stop us from talking about the truth. We must be persistent in sharing our faith and telling others what we know to be real. Psalm 83:16 says fill their faces with shame and disgrace that they may persistently seek your name, O lord.
The lesson is -- trust your experience with Gods word, let them be a lamp unto your feet and a light to direct your path, whatever people may have to say against it. If you have found that Jesus Christ can help you, and has loved you, and that your sins have been forgiven, because you have trusted in Him, do not let anybody laugh or talk you out of that conviction. Jeremiah 9:23-24 says thus says the Lord, let not the one who is wise and skillful boast in his insight; let not the one who is mighty and powerful boast in his strength; let not the one who is rich boast in his (temporal satisfactions and earthly ) abundance; but let the one who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me 9and acknowledges me and honours me as God and recognizes without any doubt) that I am the LORD who practices lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on the earth, for in these things I delight, says the LORD
I love how a bible commentary puts it - It is dangerous to obey feeling, unless its decrees are countersigned by calm common sense illuminated by Scripture. Sorrow is apt to obscure duty by its darkness, and joy to do so by its dazzle. It is hard to see the road at midnight, or at midday when the sun is in our eyes. Both need to be controlled. Duty remains the same, whether my heart is beating like a sledge-hammer, or whether 'my bosom's lord sits lightly on its throne.' Remembering 2chor. 5:7 we walk by faith, not by sight
As some bible expositor puts it - The smallest, commonest acts of daily life are truer worship than is rapt and solitary communion or united prayer, if the latter can only be secured by the neglect of the former. Better to be in the lower parts of the house attending to the humble duties of the slave than to be in the upper chamber, uniting with the saints in supplication and leaving tasks unperformed. .. In the execution of duties, Paul admonishes Christian workers in Ephesians 6:5-8 be obedient to those who are your superiors with fear and trembling and with humility of heart as unto Christ; not with eye service, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. With good will doing service as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether is a slave or a free born.
Paul tells us in Romans 10:14 (ESV), And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? imagine if Rhoda had just kept quiet, remained faithful to her duties as a slave and never shared the news of Peters return, we definitely would be reading a different new testament today! Jesus said, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). Are you going to be a laborer for Christ, someone willing to take a step of faith and love to share the message of the gospel through voice, pen, character and love?

The God of heaven calls you His child, the apple of His very eyes.

Judges 6:36,37 - And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, 37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
Judges 6:25,26 - And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it: And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
Judges 6:17 - And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
Judges 6:14 - And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
Judges 6:13 - And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
Day 7 -Find us faithful - Joshua knew his life was coming to an end. Recognizing that there was still much work to be done in claiming the land God promised them, he reminded the people that the LORD would help them drive out their enemies... Joshua's work for Israel was done. He had "wholly followed the Lord;" and in the book of God he is written, "The servant of Jehovah." The noblest testimony to his character as a public leader is the history of the generation that had enjoyed his labors: "Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that over lived Joshua." About some who are remembered, this could be said, “For our tomorrow, they gave their today.” What would you be remembered for?
Day 6 -dauntless ... AS frances j. Roberts said “The coward seeks release from pressure. The courageous pray for strength.” 10 out of the spies spoke to their fears and looked down on theirselves and up to their giant enemies, but never beyond, to see the God who delivered them from Egypt with a mighty hand... THEODORE ROOSEVELT (1858-1919) said “Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” ... Our heavenly Father has a thousand ways to provide for us of which we know nothing. Those who accept the one principle of making the service of God supreme, will find perplexities vanish and a plain path before their feet. B ut if we trust in God, He will never leave nor forsake us. Under all circumstances we may have firm trust in God, that He will never leave nor forsake us while we preserve our integrity. 3T 292
Day 5 – REMEMBER ME ... Wonderful! Even Joshua a great man of faith, had his moment of flaw! He had his moment when he had to battle with jealousy and envy... Proverbs 24:16 assures me that - The godly may trip/fall seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. By God, I want to be remembered for good. I want to be on the right side of heaven’s history even if the world forgets me.
I want to be remembered as a man who never shied away from speaking the truth. I want to be remembered as a man who never kept quiet in the face of injustice. I want to be remembered as a man who never cringed in the face of tyranny. I want to be remembered as a man who gave his all, and did his part for his generation. I want to be remembered for failing a thousand times at all these but never giving up.
I want to be remembered as a man who wasn't loved by all, but loved by the few that counted. I want to be remembered as a man who never sought to please everyone, for that would be an impossible task. I want to be remembered as a man who lightened the burden of the weary and put smiles on the face of the discouraged. I want to be remembered for failing a thousand times at all these but always trusting God all the way.
Day 4 – THE ROAD TO SUCCESS ... Often the Christian life is beset with dangers, and duty seems hard to perform. The imagination pictures impending ruin before, and bondage and death behind. Yet the voice of God speaks clearly, Go forward. Let us obey the command, even though our sight cannot penetrate the darkness. The obstacles that hinder our progress will never disappear before a halting, doubting spirit. Those who defer obedience till every uncertainty disappears, and there remains no risk of failure or defeat, will never obey. Faith looks beyond the difficulties, and lays hold of the unseen, even Omnipotence, therefore it cannot be baffled. Day 3 HUMBLED TO ITS KNEES .. The distance between a great victory and a great defeat is only one step, and often only a short one at that. One sad truth of reality in a fallen world is that we can be riding high on the cloud of some great spiritual success and the very next moment find ourselves in a valley of spiritual failure and despair. The bible says in Ps. 27:14 "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Is. 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings a eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."
DAY 2 – LIKE A NEEDLE TO THE POLE... “The greatest want of the world is the want of men—men who will venture all for the glory of Christ; men who are faithful to the call of God as missionaries to the unreached; men who do not fear to go to the ends of the earth proclaiming the everlasting gospel; men whose conscience is as true to the Word of God as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though faced with discouragement, loneliness, family pressures, illness and persecution; men who love God more than life itself” (JB Version). ... Will you be such a man? Will you be the one? You are the greatest want of the world today.
DAY 1 - The Race Is Not To The Swift ... Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us, “The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong…” This means that even if you are not the smartest, strongest, most knowledgeable or best looking in the natural, God can still give you good success when you depend on His grace.... The secret of true success, then and now, is complete obedience to God. We must believe that God is with us in every experience. As we obey his Word, he will give us the strength and courage we need to face whatever challenges come our way. New experiences can be frightening, but with God leading our lives, these challenges can be thrilling and rewarding.

The part he acted in the prison—integrity and sympathy for those in trouble and distress—opened the way for his future prosperity and honor. Every kind word spoken to the sorrowful, every act to relieve the oppressed, and every gift to the needy, if prompted by a right motive, will result in blessings to the giver. EP 144.2
