Reclaim Your City returns to the shelves with its eight compilation featuring tracks by four of the genre’s finest. Master and legend, Steve Bicknell, opens the record with the track that truly stands out on the compilation: a psychedelic piece titled “Confusion of Chase,” which is convoluted, dark, and extremely captivating. Inigo Kennedy follows with the thoughtfully composed “Gradual Return,” in which an offbeat rhythm perfectly coexist with an uplifting yet melancholic synth. Things get even more exciting with Pfirter’s “Oppression,” which is both driving and hypnotizing, and makes a perfect peak time dancefloor bomb. The Argentinian mainstay, Jonas Kopp, increases the tempo on “Bigatron,” where a weirdly sarcastic groove pairs with a rain of metallic hi-hats as the piece progresses.
