In today’s news cycle, what is drawing the most attention is competing ideologies: Islam, Communism, Darwinism – and even Ai? Is that an ideology, or just a basket of algorithms? We talk about all these movements that are converging on our world all at once. Meanwhile, the Christian voice is being drowned out, by design – and yet, as Gamaliel famously said in Acts 5:38-39, “And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” And all these ideologies do just that – fight against God. But God is on the throne, we read the end of the book and we know who wins. So how can we come against all these philosophies of men and still be heard? The still small voice of God that Elijah heard still saves – one heart at a time. What can man do to me? A timely discussion of ideologies and elections and when it all comes to nothing.
