In the first part of the show, Zlatko Dizdarevic, one of the editors of Oslobodenje newspaper, the only newspaper which continued to publish during the Bosnian war in Sarajevo, talks about the war in Sarajevo with Terry Gross. The second part is the news of PEN's event, which had taken place the night before when a group of writers gathered for a special reading to benefit writers in Bosnia. It is followed by readings at the event, starting with Arthur Miller, followed by Wendy Wasserstein and Don DeLillo.
