Am I free to follow Christ, even to the cross, if I'm worried about many 'things,'? The cross in the end is not a risk that any of us can minimize - it is just the cost of following Christ; but, it is also the doorway to eternal life and union with God, to the satisfaction of all our desires. While we can't minimize the suffering of the cross, we can learn to embrace it, to follow Christ to the cross..."Lord what must I do to inherit eternal life?" While we listen to His answer, and check our hearts to hear His response, let us always be aware that He looks at each of us with the fullness of eternal love.
