Justification and holiness. Godliness and righteousness. These are terms that describe the forgiven and redeemed state of the believer in Jesus Christ. They come across as pretty “churchy” terms when we talk about them. And, we run the risk of appearing like hypocrites when we try to put them on under our own efforts. In all actuality, it is God Who is the One who makes all these things happen in the life of His child.
