LET US

Let us worship great moments and great events.
Let us lavish and worship our earthly tents.
Let us build rituals and traditions around our success.
Let us live in darkness and confess we are blessed.

Let us acknowledge man as our hope and salvation.
Let us worship our families and education.
Let us acknowledge these things as our hope and joy;
Those who won't, we will destroy!
Destroy their honor and their name;
Destroy them with slander, rejection, and shame!

Let us do exactly as we please.
Let us eat, drink, and be at ease!
Let us fulfill every sexual and monetary lust
As we religiously proclaim, "In God we trust!"

Let us justify pursuing our unrighteous treasures,
And exalt ourselves above godly measures.
Let us make names for ourselves with talent and charm.
Let us create methods of protection from all danger and harm.

Who needs God? We got us!
Those 'live holy fanatics' make way too much fuss.
Let us release ourselves from righteous restraints
and redefine the meaning of saint.

Let us build our own way to Paradise;
a way without faith in Jesus Christ.
A way devoid of a heart transformation
and holiness is not a qualification.

Come, let us sing songs of celebration!
Come, let us dance with jubilation!
Let us bow our heads and bend our knees
as we proudly proclaim, "It's all about me!"

Let us follow leaders full of fear and greed
who are only concern with their lustful needs.
Let us follow leaders who look good and speak well;
Leaders who don't preach judgement and hell.

Let us govern our schools, churches, and homes
by our perception of right and wrong.
Let us magnify and praise our gods and kings!
Let us worship ourselves, others, and things!

Oh how our hearts overflow with pride;
We feel a sense of accomplishment inside.
Oh how happy heaven must be;
God is well pleased- just wait and see.
