January 30 Know when to stop. This week we look at another wise thing that Solomon says in Proverbs 25. He says if you find honey, eat just enough. If you eat too much of it, you will throw up. There are a lot of good things in the world, but anything, even the good things, can turn bad if they get out of control. Too much of a good thing isn’t a good thing anymore.

Know when to stop. If you find yourself thinking about that something all the time or allowing that good thing to stress you out, that might be a clue that you need to press STOP. A good idea is to ask someone you trust to help you see what that might be for you. And thankfully, when you choose to follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit will help you! He can give you some encouragement to slow down, take a break, or stop.
