Bernard Chan is the Convenor of the Non-official Members of Executive Council of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China.  He is President of Asia Financial Holdings and Chairman of Asia Insurance, one of the financially strongest insurers in Hong Kong.

Bernard sits on the Board of several for-profit and non-profit organizations, including Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Cathay Pacific, Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, Pomona College.  He is engaged in long list of social initiatives in areas of welfare, quality of life and education.

Bernard is recipient of many awards and honorary degrees over the years, including Gold Bauhinia Star and Justice of the Peace by Hong Kong govt.
