There’s something remarkable about some coaches who have returned to club football having worked with the national team. Pitso Mosimane after more than seven years working with Bafana Bafana as an assistant to Brazilian World Cup winning coach Carlos Alberto Parreira and as a head coach is having a good run at Mamelodi Sundowns. Mosimane has went on to win a total nine trophies in six years at Sundowns including three Absa Premiership league titles and a maiden CAF Champions League title. Owen Da Gama after spending three years as Shakes Mashaba’s assistant at Bafana and heading the U23 men’s national team, returned Highlands Park to the PSL from the National First Division. Da Gama talks about leading his technical team and working as a collective.
