A virus that affected some players and technical staff and exhaustion were the reasons behind Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic didn’t field his strongest starting line-up during the goalless draw against African Stars from Namibia in the CAF Champions League first round, first leg encounter on Saturday. Sredojevic left his key players like Musa Nyatama, Xola Mlambo, Thembinkosi Lorch and Augustine Mulenga on the bench. As the team huffed and puffed in front of the goal posts, the thought of not having fielded their best team was felt. But Sredojevic explains that this was beyond their control.
