Former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates defender Mark Fish backs the Buccaneers to lift the Telkom Knockout trophy on Saturday. Pirates will play against Baroka FC in the final of this competition at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Fish says it is going to be two steps back for the Buccaneers should they fail to beat Bakgaga on Saturday. Fish who won the League title with Pirates in 1994, the CAF Champions League in 1995 and the CAF Super Cup in 1996 has given Bucs coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic and his assistant Rhulai Mokwena the thumbs up. Meanwhile, Fish says he is impressed with the talent he saw at the coaching clinics held in the small town of Cala in the Eastern Cape. Fish together with Santos legend Duncan Crowie as well as former SuperSport United duo of Thabo September and Jabu Mahlangu have been conducting coaching clinics at the Cala High school since Monday. Fish says more corporate involvement is needed to help advance football development in South Africa. Fish has also urged other former professional players to take part in developing football.
