Cape Town City captain Thamsanqa Mkhize says he is humbled every time he is selected for the national team. Mkhize is City’s only representative in the Bafana Bafana squad preparing to face Nigeria in all important Afcon qualifier on Saturday at the FNB Stadium. With a good result against Nigeria a must, Mkhize, who was man of the match in City’s 3-1 win against Black Leopards on Sunday, says every player wants to help the country qualify for the continental tournament. Mkhize believes South Africa has the quality to beat Nigeria, and while Bafana may be missing a number of key players, he is confident those in the squad can do the business. Mkhize further added that he enjoys working with Stuart Baxter, and he says the coach appreciates his qualities. He hopes that South African fans will come out in their numbers for the game, as he feels the 12th man could really make a difference on the day.
