It was a game of two halves in the Absa Premiership clash between Bidvest Wits and Highlands Park at the Bidvest stadium on Friday night. The Students had six goal attempts while the Lions of the North settled for two. Out of the six for the Clever Boys, captain Thulani Hlatshwayo converted with a header from a Keegan Ritchie free kick in the final third of the park to make it 1 – 0. The Clever Boys then defended the only goal of the match to secure their one point lead at the top of the league standings. Wits’ coach Gavin Hunt says he had to show respect to the Highlands side who also had an impressive start to the current campaign.
