The winds of change at Kaizer Chiefs were evident with the system that the club’s temporary technical staff employed this past weekend when they beat the high riding Maritzburg United 2-0 at FNB stadium. Under the previous coach Steve Komphela, Chiefs were known for their 3-4-3 system when in attack with the wingbacks dropping to a 5-3-2 when in defense. This made Komphela very unpopular with the fans because this system didn’t have good returns for them. But the team seemed to be comfortable in a 4-4-2 system and caretaker coach Patrick Mabedi explains why they went for it.
