Roger De Sa backs his friend and former assistant Eric Tinkler to win the PSL coach of the season. Tinkler, who is replacing Stuart Baxter as head coach at SuperSport United, led Cape Town City to third in the league and also lifted the Telkom Knockout in City’s maiden season, and is nominated alongside Mamelodi Sundowns’ Pitso Mosimane and Gavin Hunt, who led Bidvest Wits to this season’s PSL title. De Sa is proud of Tinkler, who was his second in charge at both Wits and Orlando Pirates, before taking over the Pirates’ head coach role when De Sa left the club.
