Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt says the team he assembled this season, to help the Clever Boys win their maiden league title in 96 years, wasn’t the best he’s worked with. Accepting his coach of the month award for May as the club clinched the Absa Premiership title winning four out of six matches, Hunt remembered the Supersport United squad that won him three league titles in consecutive years as the best he’s put together. With Wits winning the league title, it also meant that they’ve broken the stranglehold of Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs who have equally shared the last four league titles before this season.
