The play-offs for a spot in the PSL next season will begin tomorrow, with one of Baroka, Black Leopards or Stellenbosch FC looking to secure a place in top flight football. The opening game of the round-robin competition is at Athlone Stadium, where Stellenbosch will host Baroka and Stellenbosch coach Sammy Troughton says it’s a wonderful opportunity for his team to fight for promotion. In these play-offs winning home games is key, but Troughton is quick to remind that technically Athlone Stadium is an away venue for Stellenbosch. But he says the stadium has been kind to them, and he hopes they can make Cape Town proud, starting tomorrow.
