Telkom Knockout champions Cape Town City have announced the signings of two players, both snapped up from neighbouring National First Division (NFD) sides. Former Orlando Pirates, Chippa United and Bidvest Wits striker Letsie Koapeng has joined City from Stellenbosch FC, while midfielder Siyabonga ‘Chicco’ Dubula joins from FC Cape Town. Koapeng, who scored four times for Stellenbosch in 12 appearances this season, says he is very grateful to everyone involved in making this deal possible and he’s looking forward to. Koapeng says it’s a great privilege to join the Cape Town side and the 26-year-old hopes that he can make a contribution to help build them even further. City are currently third in the PSL, and surprised the odds when they went on to win the Telkom Knockout just a few months after coming into being.
