Chippa United coach Dan Malesela has called for an improved performance as the Chilli Boyz finalise their preparations for Saturday’s Absa Premiership encounter against Kaizer Chiefs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. Malesela wants his players not shy away from taking shots at goal though he insists that they must shoot with purpose. The Chilli Boyz have conceded four goals and scored twice in their last three matches. The former GarankuwaUnited FC and Cape Town All Stars coach believes that a win over Chiefs will bring back confidence in the Chilli Boyz’s camp going forward as they are yet to win in seven matches. Meanwhile, he admits that he was a little bit naïve when he believed that the Chilli Boyz would have a great first round despite losing some key players. The former Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Manning Rangers defender says his job becomes lighter whenever the Chilli Boyz face big teams though he admits that he is under pressure. Malesela reckons Saturday’s match will give his players a chance to show what they are made of.
