De Sa, who led Orlando Pirates to the final of 2013 Champions League, says it’s a huge moment for South African football, and Sundowns has done the country proud. De Sa says that it’s great that South African clubs are now taking CAF tournaments seriously. He says that before conquering the world, teams need to first achieve success at home and in Africa, and it’s a great opportunity to build on. De Sa says that there can be massive spin-offs from this success, and it wouldn’t surprise him to see doors open for those involved in Sundowns’ victory. He says that South Africans now need to look at this achievement and with the right support, use it as a good foundation to build on.
