Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa says that Mamelodi Sundowns progress to the CAF Champions League Final reminds him a lot of how Orlando Pirates reached the final in 2014. De Sa was head coach of Pirates the last time a South African team reached the final. Sundowns host Zamalek in the first leg of the final this weekend, and De Sa says that he thinks Pitso Mosimane’s squad is arguably stronger than the one he had at the Buccaneers. De Sa says that he also thinks Zamalek are not as strong as they could be and when he spoke to a few directors at the Egyptian club, they said they were concerned about their depth. De Sa says that Sundowns need make sure they don’t concede a goal at home, which he believes was the mistake that Pirates made in 2013. He says that the away goal came back to haunt them in Egypt, where it can be tough to turn a result around.
