Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt has admitted his team's desperation to win some silverware ahead of Saturday's MTN 8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Mbombela stadium in Nelspruit on the 1st of October 2015 (5pm). The Clever Boys who have seen off teams like Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City on their way to the final last lifted a trophy with the Nedbank Cup title in 2010. Speaking at the coaches’ press conference at the PSL offices today, Hunt admitted that having not won a trophy in five years is a concern for the team. Hunt who has only renewed his contract for one year, is going to his fourth year at Wits and yet to win some silverware. He feels that it's not fair to judge coaches on the basis of how many trophies they've won and not look at how they’ve transformed the team. Wits have had a perfect start into the new season, having won four and drawn two of their six games in all competitions. With wins over Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, Hunt can have a reason to be positive but he's aware that Sundowns is a different animal and expects to be tested.
