Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says his team will not be intimidated by the hostile environment in Egypt when they take on Zamalek in the CAF Champions league group B match in Cairo on Sunday the 17 of July 2016. The Brazilians are topping the group with three points by virtue of goal difference. The group has been reduced to just three teams after ES Setif from Algeria were disqualified due to crowd violence. Sundowns are expecting a tough match against the multiple former holders of the champs league Zamalek. The Brazilians have injury concerns ahead of the crucial match with many of their key players nursing niggling injuries, but Mosimane is confident that most of them will recover by Sunday. The Brazilians were eligible to register five new players in their team for the campaign after qualifying for the group stage. Percy Tau, who returned from a loan, reserve goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni due to injury to Kennedy Mwenee and Tiyani Mabunda have filled some of those spots with couple more still remaining. Sundowns will return to the champions league next season by virtue of being the Premier Soccer League champions last season. The Brazilians played against Chicken Inn from Zimbabwe in the prelim round, while the big teams had a bye. Mosimane says his team has made a significant progress in the last two seasons.
