The revival of Orlando Pirates for next season took another positive twist yesterday when AS Vita and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) national team head coach Florent Ibenge confirmed that the club’s diminutive midfielder Bernard Morrison would be moving to Bucs in the next few weeks. Morrison, a 23year-old Ghanaian born tricky midfielder, tormented Mamelodi Sundowns when the two teams played the African Champions League second round earlier this year, knocking out the Brazilians 2-1 on aggregate. But they were later expelled from the tournament after CAF found them to have used a defaulter. In this wide ranging interview with SABC Sport journalist, Ibenge who is at the COSAFA Cup tournament in Windhoek also touches on the reported move of AS Vita striker Kule Mbombo to National First Division (NFD) side Amazulu.
