After leading Chippa United to a sixth place finish on the Absa Premiership table, Chilli Boyz coach Dan “Dance” Malesela has thanked fans for the support they gave to the Port Elizabeth-based side throughout the season. Malesela, who led the Chilli Boyz to their best finish ever since their formation in 2010, is grateful that some of the club’s fans were able to follow the team wherever they went to play this past season. After spending some time coaching in the NFD, Malesela had a fantastic run in his first season as coach in the PSL and he says it’s been good. The Chilli Boyz had 13 points when Malesela took over as caretaker coach after the club’s then mentor Mboneni Roger Sikhakhane was put on special leave before parting ways with the Port Elizabeth-based side. The Chilli Boyz ended the season with 45 points from 30 matches.
