FIFA has assured that the intermediary system will be implemented in South Africa in the next transfer window after they reached an agreement with SAFA. As from April last year, FIFA introduced the new system of intermediaries replacing the agents system with strict regulations. The stumbling block in the country has been the recommended three percent commissions for the intermediaries down from 10 percent. But in the revised regulations of working with intermediaries approved by the SAFA National Executive Committee last month, now the commission could be between three to 10 percent depending on the agreement between the player or club and the intermediary. FIFA Manager Transfer Matching Systems (TMS) general manager Mark Goddard reveals that SA is ready for intermediaries.
