Veteran Chippa United defender Ruben Cloete is confident that the Chilli Boyz are going to finish inside the top-eight bracket at the end of this season. The Chilli Boyz, who are left with two matches against Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are seventh on the Absa Premiership standings with 39 points from 28 matches. The well-travelled Cloete reckons that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) gets tougher each season. And he admits that this season has been no different though he insists that it’s better than last term where the Chilli Boyz survived relegation on the last game of the season. The 33-year-old Cloete, who was born in Upington in the Northern Cape, says that he cannot exactly put a finger on where the changes at the Chilli Boyz came from this season. He, however, attributes the team’s change of fortunes this season to hard work from management, coaching and the players.
