The star of one of the most decorated coaches on the African continent today continued to shine last night when Florent Ibenge led Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) giants AS Vita to the African Champions league group stages for the second time. He had also finished as runners-up in the Champions league to ES Setif of Algeria in 2014. Vita got silver medal in the 2014 Champions league (his first year and also beat Kaizer Cheifs), two months later in February 2016 Ibenge led the DRC national team to a third finish (bronze medal) in the African Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea. In the COSAFA Cup tournament coming up in Namibia this year June 2016, DRC will be the guests as they have taken the place of Comoros who have excused themselves in this tourney.
