The first teams to be knocked out of the 30th edition of the African Nations Cup tournament could possibly come from Group C tonight if Ghana and South Africa lose their games against Algeria and Senegal respectively at the Estadio de Mongomo in Equatorial Guinea tonight. Both the Black Stars and Bafana lost their opening games to the two teams on Monday and are currently sitting third and fourth on the standings. Following Bafana’s 3-1 loss to Algeria, emotions have been high back home in SA and this despite this being the first loss for this team under Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba in 11 games. The man who had no mandate to qualify Bafana for this tournament has assured the nation that the team is ready to fight for three points tonight at 8pm (9pm SA time)… SABC Sport journalist Velile Mbuli reports
