Nigeria’s exit from the 2014 FIFA World Cup was met with some high profile retirements as the Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo who was playing 100th game on the day announced his retirement from international football. This followed a two-nil loss to France in the round of 16 to bring to an end their best performance in the World Cup in 16 years. But the most interesting one for South Africans was the resignation of the head coach Stephen Keshi who has now emerged as an overwhelming favourite for the Bafana Bafana job.
