Zimbabwean international striker Knowledge Musona has sent a clear message to PSL teams that in South Africa he will only play for Kaizer Chiefs. Musona was speaking after the Chiefs awards function in Kyalami last night responding to rumours linking with the big spending Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns. Musona is currently on loan to Chiefs from his German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffeinheim and it expires next month. He has continuously said that his first option is to return to Europe but here in SA he’s clear that his blood is gold and black…

Sundowns are known for bossing the PSL transfer market with their President Patrice Motsepe’s billions bankrolling the team and making it easier for them to outbid other clubs. But Musona who joined Chiefs at the age of 19 in 2009 from Aces Youth Academy in Zimbabwe says not even money would sway him locally to play for any other team other than Chiefs…

During the awards function Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung announced that the club’s Football Manager Bobby Motaung flew out of the country last night to sort out transfer matters believed this Musona issue. He finished as the club’s overall top goal scorer this season with 16 goals and reiterates that he would like to go back to Europe but nothing is confirmed yet…

Meanwhile another Zimbabwean international Willard Katsande was the biggest winner at the Chiefs awards last night as he took home the Player of the year award and the Players’ player of the year awards plus three other small awards on offer. In total he will be banking R230 000 from his winnings last night and he says next season he would like to consistent with good performances…

Katsande also drove away in style as he won the brand new Nissan Z370.
