The last league title Sundowns won was back in the 2006/2007 season under Gordon Igesund and Trott Moloto was the last coach to win some piece of silverware with this team with the Nedbank Cup title in 2008. Sundowns who are now on a record winning streak this season of 10 wins in a row could also equal their own league record of 11 consecutive wins. The Brazilians have scored 50 goals in the league this season, 10 more than Kaizer Chiefs who had opened an 11 point gap at some stage.
