The SAFA match-fixing scandal has taken another twist. Football's world governing body FIFA has confirmed it has now taken over the investigation. This match fixing case involves five Bafana Bafana friendly matches that preceded the 2010 FIFA World cup. The South African government was expected to appoint a commission of inquiry to investigate the scandal but it will now be investigated by FIFA's ethics committee.
