Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund is switching his focus to the African Nations Championship tournament and believes that they win this tourney but only if he will have access to his best players. Chan is not a FIFA sanctioned tournament and clubs are not obliged to release players. But Igesund remains hopeful that SAFA and PSL will find a solution for this matter…

The PSL has scheduled two rounds of fixtures in the middle of this tournament and should Bafana proceed to the knockout stages, some players might have to return to their clubs. Igesund is hoping that the talks between SAFA and PSL in the next few days will yield positive results…

Last week, SAFA Vice-President Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana told SABC NEWS that Igesund’s mandate is at least to reach the CHAN final. But SAFA President Danny Jordaan contradicted this after the National Executive Committee’s first meeting on Saturday…

Yesterday the draw for the COSAFA U/20 tournament was conducted in Lesotho where the regional showpiece will take place in December. Amajita are currently without a coach following the expiry of Solly Luvhengo’s contract recently.
