Nigerian men's national squad coach Stephen Keshi remains upbeat about his side's chances against Malawi in a do-or-die World Cup qualifier tie in Calabar in Nigeria next month. Keshi - whose side beat South Africa 2-0 in a mid-week international friendly away - insists the entire Nigeria as a country and his players are waiting for Malawi. Nigeria drew 2-2 with Guinea at home during the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers two years ago and observers reckon history could repeat itself. Keshi says his players commitment and attitude against South Africa in Durban were spot on. He admits his charges' tactical awareness and ball possession were critical for his sides' victory.

After a draw with Namibia in their recent World Cup qualifier tie, Keshi admits that the trip to Durban was good on all fronts; as it helped build team spirit, unity among his players and above all give other new players an opportunity to stake their claim in the Super Eagles.
