What happens if the sheep do not follow the shepherd? One of the main problems in the Church today is that people do not want to be told what to do by anyone. In America, this is pandemic, even in the Church. Many simply do not want to do what the shepherd asks of them, thinking they know better, or that the shepherd doesn't have a 'right' to tell them what to do. What happens, liturgically, spiritually, morally, ethically, if the sheep do not follow the shepherd? We are seeing the fruit of this in the Church, and our society right now.
