Dr. John Douglas is the Executive Director of the Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) in Colorado, which serves Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas Counties and is the largest local health department in Colorado.

Prior to joining TCHD, Dr. Douglas served as Director of the Division of STD Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and Chief Medical Officer of the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention at CDC.

John brings us up to date regarding the status of the virus in Colorado.

Jane Barton, author of Caregiving for the GENIUS, is a passionate national speaker, writer, and listener. The founder of Cardinal, LLC, she provides educational programs, books, videos, podcasts, and blogs to assist people in confronting the daunting challenges posed by aging, serious illness, and the end of life. As the Caregiving Ambassador for AARP Colorado (2014-2018), she offers educational programs for personal and professional caregivers throughout the state of Colorado.

• How is the COVID-19 situation affecting family caregivers - those caring for people with the virus as well as other medical concerns?
• When you want to be there to care - but can't (due to social distancing mandates) - what emotions can we expect to feel?
• Family caregivers often feel isolated and thus experience loneliness. What can other family members and friends do to support and sustain the caregiver?
• What innovative and creative ways allow us to bridge the gap when forced to physically distance from those we care about?
• Do not forget the care receivers. How has COVID-19 impacted the lives of those dealing with a serious disease, disability, or medical concern?
