The concept of this EP lies in its very name. “Chthonic Youth” (a word game with the cult band Sonic Youth) literally means Chthonic Youth - underground youth from the afterlife. Musically, the release combines classic jungle as the personification of something ancient, already gone to the afterlife and modern electronics as an example of something youthful, open to experiments. The symbiosis of nature and technology, the flesh and the digital. with such a dichotomy DIssident tried to “dance the architecture”

Dissident is a left-field drum&bass project created by Stanislav Sevostyanikhin. Based in St.Petersburg with more than 20 years experience in the music industry. Although his forte is primarily breakbeat oriented style, Stan has never restricted his music to one particular genre, creating a self-sufficient artificial ecology of bleak soundscapes and complex rhythm mechanics. His music was released on countless labels including Immerse, Hospital, Renegade Hardware and many many more.
