Entrepreneurship empowers citizens and is required for any emerging market to move forward and successfully integrate into the global economy. South African Townships are packed with thriving entrepreneurial activity, but township entrepreneurs have often been overlooked and their businesses locked out from the formal economy. While youth unemployment in South Africa continues to be a major problem, many young entrepreneurs are using their imagination to create their own opportunities.
