He was still also understandably upset about the assassination of JFK and the horrendous "Bought and Sold" Presidencies of Johnson and Nixon. Deception and lies that led to so many horrendous casualties in Vietnam. God Bless all those who served, and many who "gave all" during this bleak and often senseless, dark time in our Nation's History. Yet, similar concerns and equally challenging issues still sadly prevail today, as well. Think we'd learn something from History. Hoping our Country can heal and find a pathway to reunification again - here in the USA and Worldwide. World and Country - always - before Party and Politics!!! Most respectfully felt a bit of the emotion and frustration that likely flowed in Crosby's own Original version of this Classic tune (first featured on the incredible first CSN album of the same name in 1969).
