Ethiopia and the United Nations have reached an agreement to allow aid into government-controlled areas of the Tigray region,where a month of fighting between federal government troops and local forces is believed to have displaced thousands of civilians. For weeks, the UN and other aid Organisations have pleaded for aid access amid reports of food, medicines and other supplies running out.
