Lions coach Johan Ackermann has admitted that he faces some difficult decisions in the next few days ahead of his team’s trip to Argentina to face the Jaguares. Having already been crowned South African conference champions after their 57-21 win against the Southern Kings, Ackermann now has to decide the make-up of his personnel going to Buenos Aires and whether to rest key players and run the risk of losing top spot on the log. Ackermann says he has spoken to the Bulls who recently travelled to Argentina and says he is still undecided on what exactly to expect from the trip as the Sharks struggled to adapt upon their return from Buenos Aires. Ackermann’s fears are born out of his team having to play in a quarterfinal at home the week after their return from South America and the concern is whether it is worth risking one game to the detriment of their play-off match a week later.
