Sharks director of rugby Gary Gold says he is disappointed with his team’s performance in their 26-10 win against the Cheetahs in Durban last night and that their errors and ill-discipline kept the Cheetahs in the game. At the same time Gold he was happy for the players and the character they showed in overcoming the injury disruptions and loss against the Lions a week earlier. Gold said that victory against the Cheetahs was significant for his team’s play-off ambitions as it ensured that their fate is firmly in their hands. The Sharks now only have to beat the Sunwolves next weekend in Durban to secure their place in the quarterfinals.
