Blue Bulls coach Frans Ludeke says his team’s 30-25 win over the Eastern Province Kings in their Currie Cup encounter at Loftus Versfeld will be important in them regaining their confidence for the rest of the competition. The Bulls have endured a bad start to this year’s competition after losing their fiurst two games of the season against the Lions and Western Province and Ludeke admitted although not pretty, their win was effective…..

Ludeke commended the Kings on the way they played and almost won the game but was just as complimentary towards his team for being able to claw themselves out of trouble and to victory. Ludeke believes they have what it takes to keep on winning……

Blue Bulls captain Deon Stegmann says his team need to take the positives from their win over EP Kings forward to their fixture against Western Province especially their ability to remain calm under pressure and grind out the bonus point win……

EP Kings coach Carlos Spencer says he proud of the way his team played even though they lost to the Blue Bulls but says their failure to execute properly in the second half cost them the game……

Spencer says his team need to cut out the soft moments in the game where they hand the ascendency to the opposition if they are to become a factor in the competition. Spencer says there is still a lot of work ahead for his team and has warned that the competition will get more difficult…..
