Springbok Sevens coach Neil Powell believes that the six weeks in between the Gold Coast Sevens in Australia and this weekend’s Dubai Seven will be of great help to his team. Powell says that his team used the time to prepare for the Dubai leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series…….

Powell says it will be important for his team to remain intact for the better part of the season if they are to challenge for top honours at the end of the series. Powell believes that the Blitzbokke will need to have consistency in team selection if they are to be title contenders……

Even with return from injury of Branco du Preez and the availability of Western Province and Junior Boks star Cheslin Kolbe for the Blitzbokke in Dubai, Powell has warned against relying on individuals and has urged the team to play well in order for the individuals to shine……
