Nine Traits of a Servant Leader:

  1. Be peaceful.

Ephesians 4:3, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

  1. Disarm your enemies with your smile.

1 Peter 2:15, “For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.”

  1. Show the world what forgiveness looks like.

Ephesians 1:7, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

  1. Be positive, thinking about what could be.

Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

  1. Be a visionary and look for the big picture.

Habakkuk 2:2, “Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it.”

  1. Have remarkable endurance.

1 Timothy 6:11, “But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.”

  1. Be full of hope, not hate.
