Child marriages have been a major issue in Africa and the causes are common. Parents may marry off their daughter due to poverty or out of fear for their safety as well as cultural norms. Child marriage violates the rights of children and it affects both boys and girls, but it is more common among girls. What more need to be done in order to end child marriages across Africa?
