The Global Citizen festival took place last night at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. After the show ended fans had horrific experiences from extreme traffic congestion, lack of public transport and robberies occurring inside and outside the stadium. When should the SAPS and JMPD leave the premises? How did the Joint Operations Committee (JOC) meetings miss the probability of such an event? Was there too much of a focus on securing the VIP area?
